A few weekends ago I participated in a group pop-up art show in Hoboken. Several artists were featured, each having their own room to show work in. I was able to show several pieces in a small office space. Take a look!
Coffee shops, Framing shops, art shows, OH MY!
Trying to launch an art career while you’re a stay at home mom is hectic. The summer was tough, and I didn’t complete as much work or find as many opportunities as I wanted to but I seem to be making steady progress now the school has started.
In our city I have 5 pieces hanging at a coffee shop (Hudson Coffee) that I hung this month! I also have another piece that will soon be having in the window of a local framing shop, and one other that will hang in a local restaurant. Small steady steps.
Art show!
Excited to announce that I will be participating in a group exhibit with the National Association of Women Artists in NYC. It is a small works exhibit, all pieces will be 15"x15" or under. I have an 8"x10" piece that will be showing at the show. It is titled 'Nursing' , I created it when my second born was finishing up breastfeeding. There will be a reception on July 19th from 5-7pm at 315 W39th street, NY, NY. I am thrilled to be starting to get my art out there!
